18-year-old shot on Ernst Street

On Wednesday night just before 11:00pm the Rochester Police Department responded to the area of Hudson Avenue and Avenue D in the City of Rochester for people blocking the street. When officers arrived on scene, the group began to disperse. That’s when officers heard gunshots coming from the area of Ernst Street.

As officers went to investigate the gunshots on Ernst Street, they did locate evidence of shots being fired, but they were unable to locate any victims.

A short time later, an 18-year-old female arrived at Rochester General Hospital by private vehicle with a gunshot wound to her upper body.

The female victim is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The Rochester Police Department is investigating the incident.
