One dead other injured including a firefighter during house fire on Child Street

On Wednesday afternoon around 3:40pm the Rochester Fire Department received numerous calls for flames coming from a home in the 300 block of Child Street. 

When the Rochester Fire Department arrived on scene, they found the home engulfed in flames. Firefighters were able to removed some of the occupants from the home , but have confirmed one person has died.  

One firefighter was injured during this house fire.

The area is closed as Rochester Fire Department and the Rochester Police Department investigate.
